For our third installment of Kevin’s Rant and Raves, we will focus on travel bike cases.

Why, did you not ask?

Well, this post is very applicable as I am on a flight home from Colombia with my bicycle still in one piece, up to this point of course.

First off, I have traveled a couple of dozen times with a bike case. Once by train and the rest by air. Both domestic and international.

There are basically two kinds of bike cases available to the consumer. These are hard cases and soft sided cases.

Shall we start with the rant? Yes, we shall.

The second installment of Kevin’s Rants and Raves starts with the Foot & Shoe partnership. This will be the Rave section. The Rant section is going to be on the current overall Fitting scene.

So why don’t we start all puppy dogs and ice cream and then take the conversation into the gutter.

IT ALL BEGINS WITH THE FOOT

My first episode is going to go back to a 6,000 mile road trip I took with my partners in crime Betty and Sammy. The initial goal on this mission was to find the “best of the best” that bike shops operate. We visited probably close to 100 shops. In all honesty, we learned a few things. But in ALL honest, it turned into a big ‘ole WTF operation.

Let us go down the Whisky Tango Foxtrot rabbit hole, shall we my friends? Much more entertaining at least…
